ANTCICADA is a restaurant that loves and explores the earth.
It has also been featured in the media for its insect-based cricket ramen.
We designed and produced stools for the opening of this ANTCICADA restaurant.

It has a simple shape made from laminated plywood and a leather back and seat.
There is also a luxurious space under the seat where you can store your luggage.

A high stool that is easy to use and has a nice atmosphere.
Something that exists in space without any consideration of design.
We discussed these things with Kaiho Kei Architects, who designed the store.

The stools were assembled and painted by the ANTCICADA members themselves.
They carefully handled the unfamiliar work.

and
Those familiar with the brand Lille og Stor may notice something different.
that's right.
This time I'm sewing a lot.
The thick leather is scratchy.
My fingers hurt.
It was a challenge, but we managed to create a stool that matches the atmosphere that can only be experienced at ANTCICADA.

It was a project that taught me a lot and left me with a lot to reflect on.
Perhaps one day you will be able to see items like this as Lille og Stor products.

The shelves are made of honeycomb cardboard, stacked to resemble geological strata, and are filled with unique and mysterious items.
It's a fun space that you wouldn't expect to find in a ramen restaurant.

I was given locusts and silkworms tsukudani.
Although a state of emergency has been declared in Tokyo, we will be keeping a close eye on ANTCICADA's future developments.
In addition to the cricket ramen that was recently launched on the web shop,
I'm looking forward to the restaurant's opening as it will also be offering course meals.
